A BURGLAR who broke into a house and urinated on the victim’s sofa before stealing all her clothes — and a Hoover — and leaving racist and offensive notes was caught after police got his DNA from a half-eaten beef jerky he left at the scene. Swansea Crown Court heard that Kristian Evans is “disgusted” at what he did in the house in Rodney Street, Sandfields in May this year.
Miss Hughes said police recovered a partially eaten beef jerky at the scene from which they were able to get a DNA sample that led them to 33-year-old Evans. When he was arrested at his Paxton Street address he initially said he had gone to Sandfields on the night in question to discuss a drugs deal and then had “found” the suitcases in the street — but admitted the burglary. Evans had previously pleaded guilty to burglary when he appeared at court via videolink from Swansea prison for sentencing.
