Inter Milan are close to confirming the signing of Stevan Jovetic from Manchester City.
The striker landed in Milan’s Malpensa Airport very early on Monday morning ahead of an extensive medical with the Nerazzurri.
The 25-year-old is quoted by Gazetta dello Sportas saying that he is “physically fine and happy to be back, after two years of injury ravaged spell in Manchester.
Several fitness problems rocked the Montenegrin’s days in the Sky Blue of Man City, including knee, hamstring and calf injuries.
His second season was about a relationship gone sour with manager Manuel Pellegrini, who opted to replace Jovetic with then-new signing Wilfried Bony in his Uefa Champions League squad.
In spite of the lows, the former Fiorentina striker managed to score five goals in 17 Premier League appearances last season.
