A 33 year old woman from New York, Jennifer Berry, has been charged
with murder in the death of her newborn baby girl after the child was
allegedly thrown to her death from a 7th floor window on Monday.
It was
reported
that the infant girl was found dead in the courtyard of Jennifer Berry
boyfriend’s apartment, and police report indicates that she still had
her umbilical cord attached when she was found.
The boyfriend of the accused told the police that he was in another
room when the whole incident happened and did not know when Jennifer
gave birth or threw the baby from the window. He further said that he
did not even realise his girlfriend was pregnant.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to figure out the time frame between the baby’s birth and her fall from the window.
